Ideal Reform
The ideal plan is an all-encompassing, fully comprehensive curriculum that includes all information included in the more moderate reform plans: the basics of rape and consent, coercion, the choice to remain abstinent, and the LGBTQA+ spectrum. Furthermore, the ideal plan addresses the social, emotional, and health-related effects of each of these topics in more detail. This program will also encourage students to accept and explore their sexuality and gender identity. It stresses the importance of acceptance towards other people’s preferences and lifestyles.

ProsThe ideal plan cultivates an accepting, mature environment, in which people are more comfortable with themselves and others as a person and growing adult. It approaches all topics factually, and teaches students about handling the consequences of their actions, significantly covering both the concrete scientific aspect of sexual identity and the gray area of sexuality’s social and emotional aspects. In addition, much of the basic information is provided starting at a much earlier age, prior to the point at which most students begin to develop into adults. As a result, students under this plan will be more confident about their own identities, and bullying would decrease due to a more widespread understanding of the material.

ConsThe only true downside to this plan would be the difficulty in implementing it due to some fundamental conflicts with some groups' religious or moral beliefs. Otherwise the impending immaturity of certain people in the classes will also hinder the curriculum's effectiveness, especially since a significant amount of the basic information is given when students are younger. Nevertheless, by informing students in a factual and mature way, we will foster more maturity both in the conduct and decision making of the students.
